Pho State is a hidden gem for all Vietnamese food enthusiasts, and my recent visit left me with a satisfied belly and a smile on my face. The restaurant's location might not be the most prominent, but trust me, it's worth seeking out. I ordered their signature Pho, and it was a bowl of pure delight. The broth was rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of herbs and spices. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the generous portion of tender beef slices made the dish even more satisfying. I also appreciated the fresh bean sprouts, basil, and lime provided on the side, allowing me to customize the flavor to my liking. The service was prompt and friendly, which added to the overall pleasant experience. However, what truly impressed me was the affordability of the meal. Despite enjoying a hearty portion of Pho, my bill came to just 36, which is quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. The ambiance at Pho State is cozy and comfortable, making it a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner. Whether you're a Vietnamese cuisine connoisseur or trying it for the first time, Pho State is an excellent choice for a delicious and budget-friendly meal. I'll definitely be returning to Pho State to explore more of their menu, and I highly recommend you give it a try too. Your taste buds and wallet will thank you!

My new favorite Pho spot in the DMV. Food quality and service here is great. My friends frequent this location a couple of times a month. I stopped by recently and ordered the pork with taro egg rolls, Vietnamese ice coffee, large #1 with an extra side of meatballs, onions and tripe. Now their sate sauce is made in house and is mild even for me. If you love the heat you may have to order extra. The location on a busy Saturday is managed very well. Don't be turned away by the long lines they get you in and out quickly. The entire staff is wearing gloves and masks. I like the high ceilings and plenty of spaced out seating for large parties. I'll definitely be back to try their vermicelli and other soup dishes. If you want quality Vietnamese food and don't want to fight the Eden traffic Pho Sate is your spot

My favorite pho in the area. Consistently delicious, particularly the broth. I rarely order anything else off the extensive menu but when I have I’ve liked it. Great prices as well

Came in and left pleasantly surprised! Service is quick and food is tasty. They have an excellent selection of bun, pho, and other dishes. Prices are very reasonable (12-13)... Will definitely return!

Love the quality of the pho here and the date sauce really set off the flavor. They have a wide variety of noodle dishes which includes crispy pan friend noodles and even egg noodles stir fried with veggies which is delicious. Have to get the Vietnamese coffee as it’s the perfect cold drink to compliment your soup. Always a great experience with a very friendly and attentive staff.

I was seated quickly. The food and service were attentive and quick. I did have to ask for my rolls twice. I asked them to come first as a starter but they were the last thing to come. The Vietnamese iced coffee was good. The pho was savory and flavorful but fairly average to me. Granted it was a Sunday and it was busy but the place was very loud. I’ve been to quieter, more cozy pho spots. Good food but I prefer a cozier atmosphere I got the #105 pho, chicken rolls and Vietnamese iced coffee

I always check out the other patrons at a restaurant when it's my first time, as the locals, and people who are from that culture would know the food best. I've been to this restaurant a few times now, since I wanted to give there vast menu some justice before I decided to give my review. It's Vietnamese food, but very different, and a large menu with so much to choose from. The gentleman who waited on me was the same every time, and he is so patient and helpful, explained the menu well, and made recommendations too. I tried the flat noodle stir fry the first time on a rainy afternoon, along with the crispy pork and taro eggrolls, which were very tasty, but slightly greasy, of course they are fried! The second time was during a heatwave, and it was uncomfortably hot inside. The air conditioning seemed to be struggling, there were ceiling fans, table top fans, but I was still sweating, especially while trying to eat my confit Duck Noodles. Never had his dish before, and my Vietnamese friend suggested it. The broth is light, and delicious, with a hint of star anise and herbs, it also had greens that looked like lettuce, and Shitake mushrooms that were succulent, the duck was so tender cooked to perfection and not gamey. I also got the chicken & beef with crispy egg noodles that reminded me of the Chinese bird's nest. The mini chicken rolls, were such a perfect appetizer served with sweet & sour sauce, along with their house chili oil, which has a slight tingle of Schezuan peppercorns, I loved it. The Salty Plum Drink is my favorite, and was perfect on a hot day. There is so much more to discover at this restaurant, and I will definitely be back, just not on a hot day.
